[00:00] This is Twicraft Town Hall for Saturday, February 9th, 2013. [00:05] Name that is gonna bestow me would call him Jack. [00:30] Dio, Freon, Geo, Goob, KJ, NikoDray, OMGChad, [00:38] Myself, SillyChicken, Rage, and Vantas. [00:43] So I guess the first update is Flea Market [00:48] that we got on the agenda for now. So Rage, I'm gonna take it away. [00:53] Sure, so the flea market, I don't know if any of you have a shop there, had a shop there, [01:01] now for that matter, flea market is now closed. [01:04] All of the stuff that was in the flea market has now been moved to the push it somewhere [01:09] else world. [01:10] If you had supplies in the flea market, they are not gone. [01:14] You can retrieve them. [01:16] iPod is going to be over the next couple weeks organizing all of them and getting them so [01:23] that they can, that you guys can retrieve them. [01:26] You'll be able to do a mod request and any of the mods will be able to retrieve that, [01:32] those supplies for you and put them wherever you perform the mod request. [01:36] iPod will probably be putting an update, basically saying all the same things later once he [01:43] get started with the organizational stuff but that's what's going to be happening. [01:47] The flea market has no plans right now. [01:49] I'm literally just trying to resolve the lag issue in the area which it's better, it's [01:54] not fixed but it's that's what's going on with it right now. [02:02] So Rob was unable to make it but he wanted me to kind of go over what happened to DOT. [02:09] So I guess I'll just say we kind of sum up his post. [02:13] says after the post on the eastern line station update he removed the [02:20] flea market station above ground one and the east bridge or the bridge station [02:26] east side since lack of use and to add speed to the rail there's a new station [02:33] on that line known as the aquedome station which is 200 blocks further west [02:38] of the original one. Station also contains a north commuter rail [02:45] and there's an eastern hub that goes to Stonerun and terminates at the bridge [02:55] station west side. There's a south rail, he's working on that one still. [03:02] Um, it'll...but it's gonna go directly to the Hyrule Castle. [03:09] Um, there, um, the Pod 6 terminal will be removed. [03:17] And there's gonna be a little information booth at Grand Central Station, so the status kind of overall. [03:24] The North Hub is active. The South Hub is going overall. [03:28] Overall, East Hub is active and West Hub is active, so I guess that is the kind of a summed [03:35] up version of the DOT update. [03:38] So if I get the deck up on the Sky5, so I guess I'll have Asimov do his little update [03:48] for Sky5. [03:49] Yeah, I'm basically redoing the entire commercial district. [03:55] It's actually closed right now to anyone getting in or out. [04:00] If you have a shop in there, please take it down by the 22nd, that's when I want to start [04:04] building. [04:05] I'm going to talk to an agency and a mod, because if we can get something similar to [04:11] what they're doing with the flea market for anyone that doesn't take their shop down. [04:15] But if you do have a shop there, it still is up. [04:19] The doors are password protected. [04:21] You have in-game mail that tells you how to get in. [04:24] If you have any questions, contact myself or Toronto Mario on Twitter or in-game and [04:31] we can get you set up. [04:35] Okay, so Toucan isn't here so he can't do his brainwashing of TCAP. [04:43] So we're going to move on to something that happened on, was it, I think it was Wednesday? [04:50] No, yeah, no, Thursday, sorry. [04:52] Thursday afternoon around 4, where I lived, about 1 o'clock. [04:56] No, not 1 o'clock. [04:57] I am 2 o'clock on the west coast. [05:00] Twitcraft went down, majorly. [05:03] Um, I guess if you guys want to throw your input, I know Chad is here. [05:08] He could probably throw some input or... [05:09] Yeah, lots of stuff has happened on our end. [05:13] So I guess I'll have... [05:14] I don't know if you guys want to take it away, kind of discuss what you guys... [05:18] speculation but I guess we can have Chad probably take it away. Yeah, I can give an official sort of what happened. [05:25] So yeah, the server did go down. We were confused by the amount that it went [05:34] down because normally when it goes down we just go back in, turn it on, restart, [05:41] whatever. We didn't have access to the server at all so it seemed like to us [05:46] it had just been unplugged. [05:49] And that was very scary. [05:52] Also, the person, our contact at Server Central, Dan Hootz, [05:57] his website was down. [05:58] And so it looked like his server had also [06:01] been completely unplugged. [06:04] And because of that, we normally have, it's called a CNAME, [06:09] a CNAME to a stat server that couldn't get resolved [06:13] because his website was down. [06:15] We also couldn't send him any email because his website was down. [06:20] And Server Central, because we're sort of on like a weird pseudo-official thing with them, [06:29] there was no like stats page for us to go check to see what was going on. [06:35] It has since come up. [06:37] Dan Hoot's site is still down, so we still don't have access to our stats, which we [06:42] normally do. [06:43] But what we believe it is, is because they have multiple locations, the server that [06:50] is hosting Twitcraft is in the same area that all the blizzards are happening. [06:55] So even though we still have not heard an official word from Dan Hootz, our contact, [07:01] we believe that it was a power outage or something to do with weather because of all [07:08] of the blizzards and such. [07:13] So that's the official word. [07:15] The official word. [07:17] So does anyone have any input or just kind of news worthy than discussion? [07:25] So I guess we will move on to land ownership. [07:29] I know there was some heated stuff earlier in the week about land ownership around spawn. [07:36] No Montes is pretty much directly affected by this. [07:39] I think we'll have you take it from here. [07:44] Yeah, I had a rude awakening one day. I've been wanting to build a basement one of the [07:49] towers I have near spawn and I discovered someone had decided to build a few blocks below the surface [07:57] down to bedrock, a giant cavern, and they started filling it in with like apartments and shops [08:03] and like a giant storage structure. And so yeah, I eventually talked to him about it and they told [08:12] me to ask him to take it down and he agreed. So the point is I wish we could, it's not [08:22] really a rule, I wish people would respect others property. Like I understand that below [08:29] the surface it's you know mostly for a game for mining and for building mine cart mine [08:34] cart trucks and that's fine. But if you want to build something below you know someone's [08:38] property please please please ask for the permission or let them know what [08:42] you're doing because if we let if we allow that to happen then it's kind of [08:47] setting a precedent and if we do that you know what's to stop someone from [08:52] building a giant structure two blocks above your home so I mean take the [08:57] common courtesy and if anyone wants so you know I know Rach had issues with it [09:04] because he was building a giant storage structure down there and this area was [09:09] near the flea market and we're trying to get rid of chests in that area because [09:16] of the lag not add chests so like I said ask for permission if you're gonna [09:21] build a giant structure down there and I'd like to hear you know how the mods [09:25] feel about that if anybody else has input I'd like to have a discussion [09:31] because I don't want to say like, hey, you can't build under my land. [09:37] I don't know if anyone else agrees or disagrees or anybody. [09:43] Well, I think that it's it's kind of like [09:46] you need to take the same approach above ground that you do below ground, [09:52] you know, the other way around. [09:53] You know, we're not as off when he started Sky five wasn't building above [09:57] somebody else's land and creating dark spot or anything like that. [10:00] He built over water. [10:02] So there was no way that he could really impact anybody's, you know, ground situation. [10:08] And I think that if somebody's going to build like a sky rail, when timber was building all of that, [10:13] he was talking to people about doing it. [10:16] Hey, I'm going to build this over your, you know, he talked to me about building it over the flea market [10:21] and adding it up access station to it and everything. [10:26] And it's just kind of the, you know, do unto others kind of thing. [10:30] I completely agree with Montes. It's not necessarily that we're saying you can't do it, but at least ask because who knows? [10:38] It may be something where they can work something out with you because it can kind of be a crappy situation if you're on the bad side of it. [10:49] Yeah, I agree. It is difficult to [10:54] moderate to keep on top of it because it tends to be a reactionary situation [10:58] because it tends to happen without anyone knowing, especially since it's like building below someone. [11:04] But as a rule, be polite to your neighbors. [11:08] I don't know if there's a way that the mods could be more vigilant, [11:17] any more than there are now, but I agree that it's not fun when you expect to have an area that [11:26] you can expand into and then it's no longer there. [11:30] So does anyone have any more input on this? [11:38] Or you guys got anything or no? [11:44] Okay. I guess this is [11:51] Rage's kind of baby he really wants is [11:54] Stargates. Sure, I guess I'll let you go on your [11:57] spiel about that. Yeah I know that [12:01] it wasn't brought up in the last town hall because I wasn't here to [12:06] bring it up. It's kind of something that [12:24] multiple problems that we're kind of experiencing on on the server with the [12:29] overpopulation around the spawn area with the [12:33] problems with chests, you know, that are causing lag. We've determined that it definitely is impacting [12:40] performance of people's clients and of the server by having mass amount of chests in a location. [12:47] And if we had stargates or something to where we could get to the edge of the map, you know, [12:53] instantly we could set up buildings to have mass storage there to where it's not going to affect [12:59] the performance of a chunk in a certain region. [13:10] If I may take a little bit of note on that point, [13:14] this may be delving a little bit too far into the technical. We already have [13:18] multiverse portals on here and multiverse portals don't [13:21] necessarily have to link to worlds. They can link to [13:25] coordinates in a world. If you take a look at the multiverse wiki it'll tell [13:28] you how you can make those signs so they deposit you [13:31] at a specific place or at another sign that's a reference? [13:40] Yeah, this isn't official. This is more like I have talked to the officials and [13:46] and this is what was discussed. When we started the server we wanted the [13:51] server to feel as vanilla as we could. And so the idea of [13:57] teleportation, we didn't even give homes for I think about six months. [14:04] We didn't give homes for forever. [14:08] So the original idea was to keep it as super vanilla [14:11] as possible. [14:13] But now with the fact that there are big problems [14:16] with signs and chests, it could be [14:20] that the discussion is brought back up [14:22] to have some sort of teleportation available. [14:27] It may be, so there's a few different ways [14:33] that we might go about this. [14:34] And it also may be that this gets brought up and we want to keep the feeling of vanilla, so it doesn't happen. [14:44] But it could be that we give more homes to users where you could set multiple homes, you know, home one through five. [14:52] It could be that we do something like the multiverse portals, could be stargates, or it could be the town portals. [15:06] So the idea that DMA5, NickFlame20 in Minecraft, brought up was that he would like towns to start like Sky5, [15:16] five and then we would have a town portal system so that if so we could [15:21] relieve stress off of Leoville and have a portal system that went to multiple [15:27] towns instead of instead of the you know and and that's why we were very excited [15:34] that the DOT got started because and and we you know I really wanted to embrace [15:40] the rail system because it keeps it very vanilla but allows you to move you [15:45] faster than just sprinting. So there's a few options on the table. There hasn't been a lot [15:54] of discussion about this recently, but this can be brought up again within the mods to make this [16:00] all happen. Yeah, I would, I mean as far as me, I think that even having two set homes or something [16:12] of that nature would be a very easy way to resolve the performance issues because that [16:21] would allow you to have a essentially a work area and a home area to where you can move [16:27] around the map quickly and get things done faster as far as moving supplies and things [16:33] of that sort because if we would be setting up something like up in the northeast corner [16:40] of the map where it's nothing but water to held mass amounts of chests for people to [16:46] store them for shops and whatnot they could set that as their work home and then they [16:50] could have their still slash home be there as well. [16:57] I guess I like having the idea of building like a warp zone or something off of the town [17:02] portal system if you get the idea of what I mean by that. [17:14] So you mean having a room with front towns on signs that you have warps to? [17:19] Well, the way that the most first portals is they can be sized, they can be water, or [17:23] they can just look like nether portals, but that way in every town we don't have to, every [17:26] time we add a town we don't have to go through and make a crud ton of portals in that town. [17:31] We just make one portal which goes to this warp zone which we could actually just throw [17:34] in the same world the lobby's in. [17:37] And we just bounce around that way. [17:39] Now that we don't have to worry about what town gets the big obsidian block of warp [17:43] zone in it. [17:46] Yeah, I know with Stargates you can have a sign off to the side that selects through the town [17:51] So you could have you know a list of 15 towns, so you'd only have one one gate [17:58] To go through it wouldn't actually be like a Hall of Gates. It should be one gate, but that's that's how [18:03] Stargates work. I'm not sure how the multiverse portals work. I have not played around with them [18:09] I believe they work more like than other portals that we see now [18:13] Where it would be like a Hall of portals [18:15] The ones we have now are actually multiverse signed portals. [18:19] A slightly different version of multiverse pros that instead of using commands you just [18:22] put a sign. [18:28] If anyone wants to have my little test bucket up here, about 10 of us could probably log [18:32] into it without trouble and I can give a quick demonstration on how those work. [18:39] Probably, if anyone's interest would probably do that after town hall. [18:43] Well that's what I mean. [18:46] I mean not now. [18:49] So do you guys have any more input for Stargates? [18:54] Uh, I was just gonna say I feel like making it a whole of them would make it so there [19:01] wouldn't be as many and I don't know I just feel like it would look prettier than just [19:04] having a wall of signs of places that you can go to and it makes it less... [19:11] I would say more vanilla because you're using portals but it still is a bit far. [19:17] Yeah, it's kind of hard to explain the experience of the other portal. [19:24] You have this sign that you right-click, and then it actually scrolls through. [19:29] So it's just a single sign, and then it selects the town that you'd want to go to. [19:35] So it's not like a row of signs. [19:38] Yeah, either way, I've used the Stargates in the past, [19:42] and they can look just as pretty as the portals that we have, [19:47] the single portal that we have now. [19:48] It just wouldn't be multiple portals. [19:54] So any last thoughts on this, or are we good? [19:58] Let's do it. [19:58] Let's build them. [20:01] On a related note, you guys have talked about [20:04] going to the server as well as possible. [20:06] Right now, we're sort of sitting in this mushy middle [20:08] ground where we're trying to keep it vanilla, [20:11] but we have all these problems we're [20:13] trying to solve with plug-ins. [20:14] I think we just need to decide which way we're going here because sitting in the middle we're not really going anywhere [20:20] I guess I believe there really is a place for this kind of middle ground server where not [20:27] Encumbered by the fact that it's a vanilla server, you know, we have things like lift size which make life a lot easier [20:35] But we haven't gone off into the point where we're you know warping everywhere [20:43] I'm not saying we all need rocket boots and jet intel and being able to teleport everywhere, but [20:48] There just, it has to be a point where we decide where something is too vanilla or too [20:56] mod, mod heavy. [20:58] That probably doesn't make any sense. [21:06] This is something that I can bring up to the mods and we can have a longer discussion about [21:12] it off air because the fact that the chests and the signs in a concentrated area are causing [21:21] people to lag out is a big problem. And so we can and also you know Curly will be there [21:27] so he can bring up more technical answers than we can. So that's also an option. [21:35] We'll get it to craft podcasts on it next year. [21:39] Right, exactly. Yeah, we'll record it tomorrow and then we'll get posted in seven months. [21:48] So do we want to move on? I know we've been kind of talking about chest and storage [21:51] limits kind of sprinkled throughout the whole town hall so far but there is we [21:58] had do have a dedicated time for it so if you guys really if you guys want to [22:02] just kind of bring it up now and kind of discuss how you want it or what we [22:08] need to do well like the the chess things like we know the flea market [22:15] flea market had 95 shops although not all of them were used and had at least [22:23] 28 chests in each shop and granted it's a [22:29] pseudo large area [22:31] It's very concentrated and on top of that it is also very close to [22:36] The SGS store which from what Von test tells me has lots of storage chests underneath there as well [22:43] Which you know, we're just trying to figure out what's causing lag. We do know the item frames cause lag. We know the signs [22:50] Attribute to it as well chests [22:52] So whenever you, you know, building a storage facility is not going to work right now with, you know, unless you're going way far away, you know, way out in the middle of nowhere kind of thing. [23:07] But you just have to be careful with how you're doing your storage and how many chests you have and who's around you. [23:15] If you're way out in the middle of nowhere, like I am out in the fortress way out east, [23:20] it's okay for me to have a lot of storage there, but I'm not going to be able to do [23:23] it here in Leoville because the next person next to me may have just as much, and it may [23:29] potentially cause a lag problem because chicken had the same problem out at the mirage where [23:33] it was starting to creep out there because of people just having so much storage. [23:39] Do we know the technical reason for this happening? [23:42] Like is it client side or server side or what? [23:47] It's client rendering side. [23:50] It's just having to render so much. [23:52] Yeah, item entities render a lot. [23:55] Tests are item entities like torches and the item frames are. [23:59] And they take a good bit more out of the server because it's got to do, you know, it's got [24:05] to put a texture onto a frame and do corners and angles and stuff instead of just sticking [24:11] a texture on the side of a box like everything else in this game. [24:15] I know Iman and I were doing some testing out in Flatland and we just went, you know, [24:23] we said like, I think it was 10 by 10 things of chests. [24:27] And basically it just started dropping, dropping, dropping the more and more and more we added. [24:33] And it was started, first it wasn't too bad, but then when we started getting like 400s, [24:38] 500s, 600 chests, it started just kind of, it dramatically was starting to get down where [24:44] play market was for frame rate wise. [24:48] And I know if, I know Rage, you were saying, [24:51] oh yeah, if you go above level 128, [24:53] that's where the game stops rendering chests and whatnot [24:56] for like that kind of ground level. [24:59] Yeah, it's like 60, you know, 60 some blocks away, [25:04] it stops really rendering it [25:05] because of normal draw distance and whatnot. [25:14] But yeah, just be aware of it is all that I, you know, [25:17] I was wanting to bring up as far as the topic goes. [25:20] It's like, don't, you don't want to build [25:22] a gigantic storage facility next to somebody's house [25:27] or next to someone's shop without at least talk to them. [25:33] Be considerate to what's going on around you. [25:36] Like building a storage facility out in Sky5 [25:41] would be a bad idea because there are lots of other people [25:44] that have stuff out in that area as well. [25:46] like just wherever it is, just be considerate. [25:52] Well actually, I know it's fairly common [25:54] for people to build a storage area underneath Sky5, [25:57] well, under the water underneath Sky5. [26:00] I don't know how many are down there, [26:01] but I know it's a fairly common practice. [26:04] Oh, and that may be because the distance is great enough [26:08] that it may not really affect performance up in Sky5. [26:12] Now the animals. [26:14] Those may be going away, but that's not for now. [26:18] Okay. [26:22] So did anyone have any more input on stores and trust limits or whatnot? [26:34] So we'll move on to Leoville Lots, Plots, and Slots. I know this is kind of summing up every [26:42] town hall and it doesn't seem to progress very far but it seems like some it's starting to [26:49] actually make some progress now over the last week or two. Clio, OMG Chad, and Cheeto are kind [26:58] kind of in charge of that whole deal. [27:06] Yeah, so. [27:07] Well, so I have something exciting to say. [27:13] One second, let me finish up writing this one thing. [27:16] You guys talks amongst yourselves [27:18] and then I will have something to say [27:20] after I finish up typing up this one thing. [27:23] Yeah, I'll take D1. [27:26] It's D6. [27:27] C5. [27:30] Screwed a negative one. [27:35] And that was awesome. [27:37] I guess we'll just cut this out in editing so it'll be all like hey we totally beautiful [27:44] well well I don't know you you should probably go to the forums in general [27:51] discussion and there's now a thread well if you crash the forums you crash the [27:57] the site so there's a new thread about Leoville plots snowshoe this will [28:02] actually be kind of be a news to know shoe we are now opening up plots to be [28:10] available for people so let me run through this is all written up in the [28:15] forum post but let me run through how this is going to work any user has two [28:22] weeks to submit their name to buy a plot after the two weeks is over we will [28:31] have an internal lottery and shuffle up all the names that came in. That way [28:36] people who have been playing for a year don't get snubbed because they're not [28:40] online right now when I'm discussing this and when this goes live. So you [28:50] submit your name to a form when there's a link at the bottom of the the [28:55] post, and then after we shuffle up the names we will go through from top to [29:01] bottom giving out the requested plot numbers. If there is a conflict and plot [29:09] number on the form there is a second choice for you to choose and even a [29:14] third choice. If either the person didn't fill out the second choice or the [29:20] second and third choice has been taken we will try to contact them based off of [29:24] the email that they provided in the form that we are asking for. [29:31] And that should be done fairly quickly. [29:33] Then the moderators will have to go in and manually add people to the regions so that [29:39] will take a little bit of time, but by March 1st we hope to have all of the plots finished [29:46] for people to be able to play with. [29:50] The current cost is a $2,000 buy-in and a $1,500 monthly rent rate. [29:57] That means that the first month, on March 1st, you will owe $3,500. [30:03] And then at the first of every month, you'll owe the next $1,500. [30:14] So, now we're doing the time out lag, or time out, or whatever, is pretty much you have the whole month to pay your rent. [30:25] You have from the first until whatever the last day of the month is to spend your rent. [30:34] And if, and so you pretty much have that whole month, [30:40] and if you don't pay in that month, [30:41] then we will move your area to somewhere else, [30:46] the somewhere else land, and you, [30:49] so you still keep all your stuff, [30:51] but you just don't, you just don't get it. [30:54] So that is pretty much it. [30:59] There's a few rules about, you just, [31:02] Pretty much you can build from bedrock up as high as you want. [31:05] We are asking that you be polite to the whole server [31:12] and not build an eyesore. [31:16] So in the very beginning, I was asking people [31:19] to make homes that looked like houses. [31:21] And so it would be Leoville. [31:22] It would look like a village, not really a skyscraper village. [31:26] But some mods kind of went against that. [31:31] Curly, the server admin in particular built a replica of himself. That's [31:38] something that I would wish that wouldn't get built, but if something is [31:45] obscene or really horrible we still have the right to move your creation [31:51] or delete it entirely if it's just offensive. And some things to note, there [31:59] There are plots, there are different sized plots. [32:01] We wanted to create plots that people would, [32:05] could create different things in, [32:08] and we wanted it to feel more natural [32:11] than just a grid of things. [32:14] So there are differently sized plots, [32:17] so keep that in mind. [32:18] We also have a map of the plots and the numbers, [32:21] but from what you guys just said, [32:23] it sounds like you guys know, [32:26] which plots are which. [32:28] And that is about it. [32:30] Any questions? [32:32] Restrictions on what we can do with the plots, meaning [32:35] shops, meaning residential, meaning housing rental. [32:41] You can do just about anything except you will not [32:44] own the region that you are in. [32:46] So rental would be difficult because we don't, [32:52] at the moment, we don't have an automated. [32:54] The reason it took us so long is [32:56] because we wanted an automated system to do all this. [32:58] We have forgone the automated system, unless if we can cook one up in two weeks, and we're [33:05] going to do it manually. [33:07] So rental property will probably be a little bit difficult, unless if you want to create [33:15] their rental space and add them to your chests, and then they could sleep there, and then [33:19] they could access the chest, but they wouldn't be able to edit the building. [33:24] So for our shops, absolutely. [33:26] I have a shop in Leoville, so you can create shops. [33:33] Now, from the chests and sign lag, I would hope that we wouldn't have tons and tons [33:39] of chests. [33:41] So please, if you can avoid it, don't build storage structures in Leoville. [33:47] And did I cover everything? [33:51] How is it going to be paid? [33:52] going to be kind of an automatic or is there just going to be a mod knocking at your door? [33:57] Punch a sign? [33:59] We're thinking punch a sign and it may go, we still need to work that out but it will [34:07] not mod asking you. [34:09] It will be either punch a sign, Curly is looking into an automated system so it may be that [34:15] we're not going to be doing it as manually as we are right now and there will be a sign [34:20] in front of everyone's house that you will have to pay and if the time limit goes up [34:25] it will be available to buy. [34:29] One of the reasons we didn't like that is because someone could come up and buy the [34:33] plot and have all your stuff which we didn't like. [34:39] Also a thing to say is each person can only have one plot. [34:46] Even if you have alt accounts and try to get multiple plots, we will try to discourage [34:50] that one person per plot. [34:52] We want to have enough plots for as many people as we can. [35:00] Anything else? [35:05] I don't think so. [35:06] Does anyone else have any more input? [35:10] The title on the forum post. [35:13] Just could be read again. [35:16] Oh, yeah. [35:22] That happens. [35:23] Cheeto's fault. [35:24] He wrote the title. [35:25] Oh, sure. [35:26] Well, he proofread the title. [35:29] And didn't fix it. So you're saying you had an editor and [35:37] Wow, oh [35:39] Yeah, I needed it. It's been fixed. Cool. So good news plot are available [35:50] feel free to fill out the form and [35:54] Request your plot [35:56] I'd like to take this out for to remind everyone that residential lots in the sky 5 are and will remain free [36:03] Absolutely, no [36:04] Yeah, the price is set for a reason. We only have 40 available plots [36:10] And I mean if you just look at the amount of people online at the moment [36:16] You know there's 30 something so [36:19] And you know other people log on and people log off so so space [36:24] Unfortunately the only way to to moderate [36:28] That it we decided to do it with money [36:31] So yeah, Sky5 blocks are free and I would suggest you move there. I have a house there and it's awesome. [36:38] I do have one question. Would you be able to pay multiple months of rent at a time? [36:44] That is something that I would like to have the option available. [36:50] We need to look at our back end system. [36:53] It may be that that's doable or if you just punch the sign seven times, we'll have a log that you've paid seven times. [37:00] seven times. But I'm getting notes from other people that are saying that that might be [37:08] difficult. So at the moment, that is an undetermined feature. [37:12] Also, you know, people who have large bank accounts to just pump out and so they don't [37:22] have to pay for an entire year. It might be a good thing, but also if they go offline [37:26] in six months, then you have six months is already paid for. [37:29] and do anything with. [37:31] And we just tried. [37:39] Am I still here? [37:41] Yeah. [37:41] OK, sorry. [37:42] I think I wasn't hitting the push to talk button. [37:45] So that is one thing is that we had discussed [37:50] that we like the month to month so that if a user just leaves, [37:56] their plot will not, if it was a rich user, [38:01] their plot just won't sit there unused for months and months [38:03] months. So at the moment I think we're just going to stick with you have to pay every [38:09] single month. In the future, it may change. Kind of a weird question. I know there's some [38:17] people... I'm just going to bring this question up. What are you guys doing with the emails? [38:21] Because I know there's going to be some people that are going to be all like, oh my god, [38:24] I don't want to share my email. We're not really going to do anything. Cheeto is saying [38:32] Minecraft email but it would... I'm confusing. I'm getting multiple sources. [38:39] Yeah, so the emails are only viewable by I think five people at the moment. [38:47] These are all moderators and we... I mean we're obviously not going to put them in spam boxes or anything. [38:57] It's only used to contact you if the desired plot that you want is not available. [39:04] We can make that a non-required field, and if you just don't put an email, [39:12] in fact, I'll do that right now, [39:13] if you don't put an email, we can try to contact you through Minecraft Mail. [39:18] So that is no longer a required field on the form. [39:22] And the other issue is some people don't want to, you know, or they don't have an email which would sound absurd, but there are younger players, so... [39:37] Well, you have to have one to create a Minecraft account, so... [39:40] Not exactly. [39:41] Do you still? Because now you can just buy like a plastic card. [39:46] Okay, okay, okay, you're right. [39:48] So I'm pretty much at the end of discussion topics. I don't know, there was surprise in there, but I think that was the Leoville Lots. [40:01] from chat. Yeah, that was a surprise. So I guess we will... does anyone have anything [40:10] just they want to touch on over the last two topics or else we're pretty much done. I will [40:17] be updating my store prices. I'm sorry that it has been so long. So I guess right now [40:26] Does anyone have anything we want to cover for next town hall? [40:31] Or are we kind of... [40:33] Indifferent? [40:35] When will that be? [40:37] Um sometime in March. [40:40] So by then the plots will be gone. [40:47] Yeah, you should probably put a topic about how the mods screwed up the plots. [40:54] Um [40:56] I guess I think we're done. So if someone [40:58] anyone wants to do a shout out be like plug with Twitter so I guess we'll go [41:03] down the list so Andrew Martin you want to plug anything? [41:06] not really I'm not a very social person I'll plug my Minecraft I'm the same on [41:12] Minecraft yeah mail me. [41:14] Asmop do you want to plug anything? [41:17] At Sky5 City that's Sky5 spelled out city. [41:20] Do you want to plug anything? [41:23] No comment. [41:25] Goob you want to plug anything? [41:29] Yeah, I just wanted to give a quick update on how the pig race went. [41:34] It went pretty well. [41:36] Not a huge turnout, but there also wasn't a lot of advertising on my part. [41:42] And I hope to host it again in a month or so. [41:46] KJ, do you have anything you want to plug? [41:51] Ham radio in general. [41:52] OMG Chad, I know you probably have a whole paragraph to plug. [41:58] Nah, excuse me. [41:59] Thanks. [42:00] It was a great meeting. [42:01] Watch your own gcraft. [42:03] Is rage one of plugging? [42:06] I got nothing. [42:09] Vontae is one of plugging anything? I know you've been pretty quiet. [42:13] Oh, at underscore Vontae is underscore. [42:16] So, that concludes Town Hall for Saturday February 9th 2013.
