[00:04] Okay, let's begin, I guess. Hello, everybody. This is our first meet-and-greet on the new map. Yay! [00:13] I see a lot of people that are old faces and see some new ones here too. Hello, [00:20] everybody. Basically, this meeting is going to be a little bit different than [00:26] what we normally do. Normally, we have a town hall where everybody debates [00:32] certain issues that are going on in the server. We nag the moderators for stuff, [00:37] etc., etc. This is just us saying hello, telling us a little bit about [00:44] ourselves, maybe a project we're working on right now, and if we need help or [00:49] items or anything, you know, just say, hey, PM me, shoot me a mail, something. So [00:57] without further ado, I guess we'll begin. I'm going to go down the list of people [01:03] that are in Mumble right now, starting with Dio, just do alphabetically. So, [01:11] Dio, would you like to take it away, introduce yourself, maybe say a few words? [01:15] Hello, I'm Dio. I joined the server, I think, in June of 2012, and right now, [01:24] I'm working on an Enderman grinder. Do you need anything from any of the [01:30] community, or would you like assistance with it? No, I'm actually almost finished now. [01:35] Cool. All right, we'll just go next to Evil Bob then, Evil Bob. Oh, I gotta hit the [01:43] button. My name is Darryl. I'm not working on anything special right now. I'm [01:49] building a castle, farming, looking for a cow. If you have a cow, you're ready for [01:53] something. Let me know. Yeah, just shoot him a PM either in Minecraft, or are you [02:02] on the forum? Every now and then. Yeah, you could try shooting him a PM through the [02:07] forum if you want to get in touch with him. Dio, are you able to verbal talk, or [02:12] are you only on phone text? I'm going to assume that means he's only on phone [02:22] text. Gregor, would you like to go? Sure. My name is Gregor1942. I've been [02:28] on the server since it was in the ChatCraft days, and currently I am working on [02:36] just exploring the map and meeting you guys. And if you need anything, let me [02:42] know. I can also let you at a reasonable price. Yeah, we haven't really [02:48] established a lot of town shops yet. That's something that I imagine a lot [02:53] of you guys are going to be working on coming up here. So for now it's more [02:58] of a barter system, no real set prices, and eventually it'll kind of, you know, [03:03] even out. Next up is L cars. Hi, my name is Craig. I've been on the server from [03:10] probably June last year, and all I'm doing is like building a castle base in the [03:17] WOS's down at the sci-fi. Do you need any items or any stone or anything [03:25] right now? Not that I don't need anything. Cool. NGT, do you want to introduce [03:32] yourself? Are you free? He might be AFK. Noel Matrix, what about you? Sorry. Oh, [03:46] okay, NGT's back. Yeah, I'm Nightflyer. I've been playing Minecraft since the [03:50] early Alpha days. Come to ChatCraft as well. I started playing on [03:55] Tweetcraft on its first day. Currently I'm working on several houses. I'm [04:00] doing one next door to myself. I've got a couple across the water to do. I am in [04:05] need of glowstone and books if anybody has them. I myself don't have that many [04:13] resources yet. I guess it's about it. Cool. Noel, do you have just text or you [04:24] got a mic? Alright, I'll give them a chance to respond. It's my, I'm up [04:34] next anyway. So I'm PosterAnonymous. I've been on this server since about April of [04:41] 2012. Right now I'm working in the Mesa Biome south of Spawn. There's a smaller [04:50] island off the coast that I'm wanting to build a community, mainly looking for [04:56] like Mesa Biome themed homes. So like those older Adobe homes that you see in [05:01] New Mexico and everything else, pictures. I've started one on the coast and [05:07] honestly right now I'm just gathering random supplies. I don't necessarily need [05:12] anything. I would ask that if you're going to come over and try to get hard [05:16] and clay, please hollow out the mountain. Don't just shave it off the sides [05:20] because we're trying to keep the Mesa Biome looking as unique as it does [05:25] right now. Next up, Reepin. Maybe. Precisely. Okay, Reepin. I guess Reepin's AFK. [05:45] Robo, go ahead. Hello, my name is Robo Robodrom. Any version of however you want [05:53] to pronounce my name. I'm generally the guy you will find falling off everything. [05:57] I'm falling to my death. I'm also effectively in charge of DOT, Department [06:02] of Transportation. Basically, I'm the one who's built that massive road around [06:08] Leeville and doing that sort of project. So basically, I don't need anything. [06:14] If you want to continue a road, go right ahead. We've got the rough standard [06:18] is five across with a cobbled edge stone brick in the middle with [06:24] pumpkins every four three blocks and then a pumpkin with I think we're [06:31] trying to get tunnels to be around three to four in height so horses can go [06:35] through. If you want to build a road, go right ahead. I will not be able to [06:41] build every road anyone wants. So it's sort of like a bit of a free-for-all, build [06:47] a road however you like. So that's me. Thank you, sir. Next up, we've got SW. [06:57] Hello everybody. SW-Fan85. I kind of just came in so I don't really know what everybody [07:04] else has been talking about. Basically, sorry. Basically, we're just doing an [07:09] introduction. Maybe talk about how long you've been playing on the server, any [07:13] projects you're working on, and if you need any items, just give us a [07:17] heads up. Well yeah, I've been playing since about October 2012. Just now [07:24] starting to really get into working on more of the community stuff. I do have a [07:30] small little specialty potions place out in the swamps east of Eureka. I'm also one [07:39] of the biggest projects I'm working on is I'm trying to help out Robro there by [07:42] building out some of the road infrastructure out on that southwest part [07:47] of the map. So if you're willing to help out, just let me know. Cool. And [07:53] up next is the person's name that I always butcher. Uekatri. Am I right? Does [08:02] her mic work? Okay, we'll cut up. Her mic is iffy. Okay, so we'll come back to her [08:10] maybe. Protovan, or Vander Protowski. Hello, I am Vander Protowski. You can call me [08:17] Protovan as a poster has affectionately started calling me. I am known in real [08:21] life as Roy Curtis, and I joined Twitcraft and Minecraft proper last [08:26] summer in June, July time. At the moment on the new map, I'm working on [08:32] converting an island, a sandy island in the southeast ocean to a sugar farm. So [08:38] as a result, I have a lot of glass and sand and sugarcane to give out. If [08:46] anyone just feel free to ask any time, I'm usually giving stuff away for [08:50] free. And I'm still not done with the project. I prefer to keep a solo [08:56] project, but when it's done, you'll be public. You can come in, get sugar. And [09:01] that should hopefully help with the books later on in the map's lifetime. [09:08] Sounds good. Next up is a van, our moderator. [09:13] Hey, so I feel weird calling myself Vantas, but real names want not [09:18] Vantas. Real names Ben. So if you want to call me Ben, that's fine. If you need [09:23] help with anything, just message me. Someone grieve to the slash mod req and [09:28] we'll try to get to it pretty quick. If you need lava plays, feel free to [09:33] message me in game or in chat. I'm happy to help. Thanks. [09:40] Alright, and I kind of realized I don't know if I introduced myself. [09:43] I'm poster anonymous. Hey, up next is warrior box. [09:51] Good switch to my content. Hi, my is warrior box. I'm female. Most people [09:56] think I'm male first before they meet me. I've been on the server since [10:01] April of last year. Been on Minecraft about two years coming up, I guess. [10:08] I am currently excavating a bit of extreme hills, which is people who [10:12] know me know it's my habit to go inside the landscape rather than outside [10:16] of it to the southeast near the modern town. Is that going to be called [10:21] Eureka now? Yeah, the Southwest. Yeah. Modernapolis has been converted to the [10:27] other east. Yeah. Yes. [10:30] I'm currently extending the road past my property. I'm happy to help [10:35] with the Department of Transport. If anybody needs help, but having [10:38] heard from Robo, probably it's wherever you find a bit that needs [10:42] roading. I'd like to help more with the community bills because I came [10:46] into Twitcraft late when on the last map, everything had been done. So if [10:50] anybody needs help with community building, I'd be very willing to lend [10:54] a hand. Currently, I need a smooth stone to save my coal stock so that [11:01] I can help with the roads. And that's about it. [11:06] Very good. Up next, I don't know, weasel words. Do you have a mic? Are you [11:11] able to talk? [11:13] Hey, yeah. Hi, I'm weasel words. I've been playing on the server since [11:18] summer last year. And [11:22] at the moment, I'm a nomad just wandering around. [11:28] All right. And Zog, are you at free? I see you're muted at the [11:36] moment. Maybe you're having trouble. [11:38] What about me? [11:40] I'm coming back up. [11:41] Okay, all right. I was talking. [11:44] My name is Zogzer 11. I live by sci fi land. Cool. What I'm trying [11:55] to do is make like a small settlement. Okay, and really help [12:01] me from people live there. [12:06] Okay, so if you're interested in living out in the desert, I'm [12:09] assuming you're probably going to build with more of like a [12:11] science fictiony theme to the houses. Yeah. So yeah, if you're [12:16] interested in trying your hand at doing that, then talk to Zog. [12:21] Okay. [12:22] All right, let's see how go back up the list here. Maulisk, are [12:28] you able to talk? [12:32] I don't know if my microphone really works, but [12:35] it's working somewhat, you can go ahead and go. [12:38] Okay, well, I'm basically just colonizing the mushroom island [12:42] and that's pretty much it. I only started playing when the map [12:46] reopened. So [12:49] very good. All right, Reppin. Now you can talk, sir. [12:54] All right. My name is Reppin JC. And I just built that [13:02] bridge that connected, you know, the Mesa to spawn land. And [13:07] and so I'm plan to build other bridges to connect everything [13:11] together, like we did on the other server. So I just like [13:17] some help building bridges. And I guess making, you know, it [13:26] more compatible instead of people trying to, you know, run [13:30] for 10, 15 minutes just to get to their destination. [13:34] I'll get in touch with you, Reppin. [13:37] Okay. [13:38] All right, we had a couple other people come in. Steven Keywin, [13:42] do you have a mic? [13:44] Yeah, I have a mic. [13:46] Would you like to introduce yourself? [13:48] Yeah, I'm Steven Keywin. I don't really play much on the [13:54] map. But yeah, I have like a part in table. So I've got the [13:59] craft part and minecraft done. [14:01] Very good. TC Stitch, do you have a mic? You're free? [14:06] Yes, I do. [14:08] Would you like to introduce yourself? [14:11] Well, I suppose so. [14:13] Fair enough. Go ahead. [14:15] All right. Well, my name is TC Stitch. I did briefly show up [14:20] on the old server, but I just never really had time to do [14:22] anything. And I was never much into the multiplayer stuff. But [14:26] I decided I wanted to give this more of a go. [14:28] Basically, like I've built a little house. Apparently, it's [14:33] right next to DOT land. Not that I knew at the time, but hey. [14:38] Well, good. Is there any projects you're working on or just [14:42] doing the house right now? [14:46] Well, I'm getting close to finishing up the land that I [14:49] grabbed. I'm trying to keep it looking kind of like it did [14:52] before, like I'm not just ripping it all down. But I [14:56] would like to get into some sort of [14:58] bigger projects with other people at some point. [15:01] Okay, sounds good. Yeah, we're posting new projects on the form [15:04] all the time. So if you want to jump in, feel free. All right, [15:08] let's see. Uekatree, are you back on? [15:14] Is this working? Yes, now we're here. [15:16] Yeah, we can hear you fine. Cool. [15:18] Okay, I am Uekatree, a name that was never meant to be [15:20] pronounceable. So don't worry about getting it right. [15:23] I am Uekatree, a name that was never meant to be [15:28] I am currently working on expanding the road, because I [15:32] like doing that. And I'm working on building a ranch out in the [15:36] message that Mr. Anonymous was talking about. [15:40] Very good. Anybody else that I missed? [15:44] I believe Skyer Corp. [15:48] Skyer. Yeah, you did hop in there. I didn't notice. I [15:50] apologize. Please, Skyer, go ahead. [15:53] Hi, I'm Skyer Corp. I've been playing since [15:56] November 2012 on the old map. Mostly enjoy exploring. So I [16:03] can't wait to see all the roads get built up and people start [16:07] living near the road so I can see all the fantastic builds you [16:10] guys will be creating. [16:15] Very good. I don't think we missed anybody else, did we? [16:21] Oh, I just had one question. What was Greg's thing he was [16:27] talking about? [16:28] What do you mean? [16:30] Like if what you wanted to build or what wouldn't I have you? [16:34] I just I'm here to help build. I don't have a project right [16:37] now. I have a couple I have a couple ideas in my head that I [16:40] haven't really worked out yet. Logistics wise, but so right [16:45] now I'm here to help other people. [16:46] Okay, all right. All right. What did Vantaz have anything [16:51] that you said? Sorry, I was on the phone. It was a very [16:55] important conversation. [16:56] No, I was just, yeah, I just introduced myself and told people [17:00] if they need help with anything, feel free to message me in [17:02] game. [17:03] Yeah, I also have everything recorded and it will be posted. [17:06] So if you need to review any of it, it'll be up probably [17:11] later tonight. [17:12] Yep. [17:15] Alright, then if anyone else needs help, just let me know [17:17] because usually I get bored from time to time. [17:21] Sounds good. Alright, I had up next on the topic of [17:25] discussion, the future of dot the Department of [17:28] Transportation. It seems like in the meantime, Robro basically [17:33] got it started. Did you want to say anything about the [17:37] Department of Transportation, Robro? [17:40] Well, I don't know what to say exactly. I mean, it was started [17:43] out with night flyer Linux, which on another people who [17:47] daddy for the old daddy for and myself and Linux, which [17:51] were the original do t and then I somehow took it over and [17:55] went a bit crazy with whale networks. So I'm running on [18:02] side just trying to get roads done and building the do t [18:06] headquarters, which is the north east corner of the map. [18:10] After that, I'll work on more roads and the other bits [18:14] of projects other people are working on. We've set out the [18:17] dot standard as far earlier on in this recording. I don't know [18:25] what my plan for whale is since horses are a lot more [18:28] prolific in this map. And so most people will have a horse. [18:32] And so traveling is and with the spawns everywhere else, the [18:37] need for a large rail network is less needed. I might think [18:42] of something when the server gets a bit older. But if you [18:45] want to build roads, just because there's bits of roads that [18:49] are needed to expand, just expand away. [18:54] What about instead of rails, like maybe horse trails? I know [18:57] night flyers been doing that. [18:59] Or else sounds cool. I've never had a major thought of how [19:04] to implement them. [19:05] Yeah, actually, I've done horse trails. Now I've done [19:09] them to I run a small private server. And one of the [19:14] features we've had is on our last map, we had a great horse [19:17] trail that went from basically town, almost all the way out to [19:21] the west end of the map. It was actually a really nice ride [19:23] through the woods in different various biomes. Be happy to do [19:26] it here. Of course, things get a bit dense here. So that that [19:29] makes it challenging. But the idea is you don't have to [19:32] pave it. You don't have to put anything down. The only [19:34] thing we do is we clear the path. So there's no tall [19:38] grass in it. We can leave it the regular grass. And then [19:41] just mark it with fence posts with torches on top. And [19:43] that provides enough light to make it safe. And you don't [19:47] have to have them square. You can run them curves and what [19:50] have you. So you know, once we kind of define where everybody [19:54] is and where the different areas of the map are, maybe we [19:58] can do something further on outside of town, out towards [20:02] the edges or something. [20:05] Yeah, maybe especially from one of the satellite towns, like [20:08] Eureka or [20:11] Yeah, we can connect the corner towns that way. [20:14] Actually, yeah, that would be great. That would be better [20:17] than what we were talking about on the last server doing a [20:19] large highway that would circle around and use up a lot of [20:22] resources. [20:23] Yeah, because all you need is fence posts and torches. That's [20:25] it. [20:27] I like the idea that sounds lovely. [20:29] I like [20:30] Do you do you remember the for the horse trail we had [20:33] Warrior Box on the old Midgard map? [20:37] No, I never saw it. [20:38] Never were. Okay. [20:40] But I'd like to. I would like to see that and I'd like to see [20:43] it here. It sounds like a great idea. [20:45] Yeah, it's well lit. Yes. [20:47] Yeah, and the nice thing is, if you're on a decent speed [20:50] horse, even if there's mobs, you just blow right past them. [20:52] They won't bug you. [20:54] Okay, well, that's something that we can look into then. [20:58] This next section I have is for basically general topic [21:02] discussions. One thing that I wanted to bring up first [21:06] was town halls. Normally for the newer players, we would [21:10] have a town hall about once a month, where we would get [21:15] together, we would talk in more depth issues like what we [21:18] just discussed with horse trails and everything else. [21:21] Also, if we had issues, we wanted to talk to a [21:24] moderator about, we would bring those up. [21:28] The times have been kind of conflicting for some people. [21:33] The, for example, the person who started the town [21:36] halls, Silly Chicken, he wasn't able to come tonight [21:39] because he had to work. So basically, we're trying to [21:43] find a way to get as many people involved as possible. [21:47] And what I'm thinking we might need to do is maybe have [21:52] a standard time like this where, you know, somewhere [21:54] between four and six p.m. Eastern time on a Saturday, [21:58] one month, and then the next month have a floating [22:01] time. So maybe even during the week at like, you know, [22:07] eight p.m. Eastern or something where players who can't [22:11] come in at this time can meet up at that time and still be [22:16] able to talk. Did anybody have any ideas or any [22:19] alternate suggestions we could try for that? [22:22] You could put them on the forums. [22:25] Well, the after we're done, it gets posted on the forums [22:29] and we encourage people to respond and add if they weren't [22:32] able to attend. This is more for the live session, [22:36] people who want to talk, but just aren't able to get here. [22:39] Oh, you could do have everyone that wants to do it, [22:44] create an account on Twitcraft and put in their email [22:47] address and then you can send an email notification [22:51] saying, Hey, you know, at this, at this time, [22:54] we're going to have this meeting about this, that [22:56] and the other thing. Yeah, I mean, that's something [23:00] we can, yeah, we can look into that. [23:03] But did anybody have any ideas for alternate times, [23:06] even that would be more available for them, a little [23:09] bit easier for them to get in here? [23:15] Well, for me, since I'm starting college back up [23:18] Monday, probably like Fridays and Saturdays, because [23:25] those are the days that I don't, I don't have class. [23:29] Yeah, I worked Monday through Friday too. So, I mean, [23:33] yeah, some evenings I'm here and sometimes not, most [23:39] weekends I am available, but obviously, you know, [23:41] I have stuff going on too. So, yeah, that's a problem [23:45] with a lot of the Council of Geysers. We work during [23:51] the week, we, you know, aren't always free at the [23:54] earlier times. Unfortunately, for example, [23:56] Asimov, he actually has kind of an odd schedule. [24:01] He's in bed right now sleeping, because he gets [24:04] up and works really early in the morning. [24:07] He has to go make the donuts. [24:08] Yes, exactly. He's a baker. So, you know, people [24:13] like that, if we had scheduled this meeting a [24:15] little earlier, we could have gotten him in, but [24:18] we wouldn't have been able to get in certain [24:20] other players who weren't available until this [24:22] time. So, it's one of those things that [24:25] we're just going to have to play around and try [24:27] to find a good time. After talking to chicken, I [24:30] know he's wanting to do some of the town halls [24:33] in the future. It's sounding like we might [24:35] start a committee to actually handle it so [24:39] that more than one person would be in charge [24:41] of hosting if another person couldn't show up [24:43] or more than one person, you know, scheduling [24:47] wise would be involved. So, that is something [24:50] that will be looked at in the future. [24:53] Did we have any other topics of discussion that we [24:55] wanted to bring up in the issues that you guys [24:58] wanted to discuss? [25:02] Not really. [25:05] I like to discuss the rail system. I think we would [25:07] greatly compliment the sci-fi land. [25:13] Having like a little minor like a metro rail or [25:16] something in that area, you mean? [25:18] Yeah. [25:20] Yeah, I mean, in that area, I don't think it [25:22] would be a bad thing. My issue with the rail [25:25] system personally is once horses came into [25:28] play, you didn't need a long rail system going [25:31] all the way out to the next town or whatever. [25:37] I just had an idea. That bridge that I just [25:41] built, you can build enough room under it [25:45] for a rail system. But I was just thinking [25:49] we could connect rail system to each city, [25:53] each main hub, like I have a main hub at each [25:56] city to where it's easier. [25:58] Each city does have a hub. [26:03] I mean, the problem was last, I mean, [26:04] last since I built a large proportion of that [26:08] rail network or we built it on the last [26:11] server. Yeah, definitely, when the horses came [26:14] into play since I had all the signed and [26:18] by cells linked to my account, I definitely [26:21] noticed a massive drop in uptake of using [26:24] it, possibly on big like expanse of distance. [26:29] Metro system would be quite nice. [26:31] So people who aren't got any horses or things [26:35] could just walk to that place and because [26:37] it's a massive journey could take the [26:39] rail network. But I don't think we really [26:41] need a massive extent. [26:43] Yeah, I think in maybe connecting the the [26:48] five towns, the five main towns [26:50] together. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. [26:53] You know, I see, I don't I don't know if we [26:55] need to do that, though, because now we do [26:57] have a portal system and that's actually [26:58] the next thing I was going to bring up that [27:00] portal system will get you to any town [27:03] significantly quicker. Now, once you get [27:06] in that town, I could see if somebody starts [27:09] a small community north of that town or [27:11] whatever, having a direct rail that would [27:13] connect from that town to that smaller [27:16] community that's not linked with a portal. [27:19] Yeah, I'm a huge fan of rail systems, but I [27:24] don't see a big advantage to connecting [27:26] the city. And if you feel a rail system, [27:29] I recommend doing it underground. [27:31] Absolutely. Impact and light the heck out [27:37] of the tunnels. Please concur. [27:41] OK, I know it would be something I would [27:43] be desperately interested in doing. [27:45] I love doing rail systems. OK, well, maybe [27:48] when the map builds up some more, that's [27:50] something that we could look into, looking [27:52] at small communities that are starting up [27:55] and building underground rails from those [27:58] communities to one of the hub towns. [28:02] Which is what I wanted to bring up next, [28:04] actually, the hub towns seems like a lot [28:07] of players are still building right around [28:10] the main spawn of Neo Leoville or what [28:13] I'm calling Neo Leoville, at least. [28:16] There are other hub towns and it's very [28:19] quickly, you know, they're very quickly [28:21] accessible, I should say. [28:24] So just any of you guys that are listening, [28:26] there's nothing wrong with building. [28:28] There's actually more land, more stuff [28:30] to do, you know, where you can build [28:31] more places out this way. [28:33] So you don't have to stay hooked [28:36] into that main spawn area. [28:37] You can spread out. [28:41] In fact, please do spread out so that [28:42] we're not so densely packed in. [28:46] You know, there's kind of a, it's not [28:48] really a defined distance between [28:50] builds, but reasonable distance between builds. [28:54] So you don't have to build block to [28:55] block next to your neighbor's fence. [28:56] You don't have to squeeze and pack in [28:59] so that you're the nearest to spawn, [29:01] you know, stuff like that. [29:03] That's why I live in the middle of an ocean. [29:07] Yes, but we're not all hermits. [29:08] So yeah, you know, some of us [29:12] want to live near players, but we don't [29:14] want to be as densely packed as night [29:16] was saying. [29:16] Yeah, right. [29:17] Reppin found an air pocket, put a couch [29:19] in it and said, Hey, I'm done. [29:21] Exactly. [29:24] So I was going to say, I bring up one [29:26] point possibly for the mods in a sense [29:28] of could we, is the possibility of [29:31] having portals in the spawns to [29:34] go to the different spawns. [29:36] So you don't have to go into the [29:37] lobby and then into another world. [29:40] But that's an option. [29:41] That's more of a topic for a town hall. [29:44] Yeah, I know. [29:45] I just thought. [29:47] And I'm yeah, I told Van. [29:49] We weren't going to beg and plead. [29:53] Proto van. [29:54] Did you said something you wanted to say? [29:56] So yeah, I have a few topics. [29:58] First off on the idea of spreading [30:00] to the other towns, there was a nice [30:02] idea raised last night on Mumble. [30:04] If you guys do want to spread [30:06] players around or spread awareness, [30:08] do drop parties. [30:09] Say like you're going to offer free [30:11] stuff at spawn, but don't mention [30:13] which which spawn, which city, you [30:16] know, like do events in different [30:19] in the different hubs. [30:20] See if that gets people circulating. [30:22] You know, I got three diamonds [30:24] in a guest here from that. [30:26] Yeah, if it's actually not a bad idea [30:28] or even say, Hey, in one of the [30:30] hub towns, I put, you know, [30:32] five diamonds in a chest or something [30:35] and you have to figure out which one. [30:38] Um, just talking about, like, [30:42] um, like towns and stuff like that. [30:45] Um, are there is there any is [30:48] there going to be like any payment [30:50] per month for people who have [30:53] businesses? [30:54] In other words, are we going to have [30:56] a system similar to what we had [30:57] with Leoville plots on the last [30:59] map? Yeah, like tax per se. [31:02] I don't know, to be honest with [31:04] you, and that's more of a town [31:06] hall question. [31:08] So maybe I'm like I said, [31:10] chicken and I have been talking [31:12] and I think he's wanting to get [31:13] with a couple other people as [31:14] well to do a town hall within [31:16] the next month or so. [31:18] OK, um, so you'll probably [31:21] have some more on that coming up [31:22] here. Yeah, I think that if we [31:25] do do like some tax that would [31:27] increase the economy quicker [31:30] than just, you know, banking. [31:33] Yeah, yeah, not. [31:34] I see. I disagree with that, [31:36] though, because because with [31:38] the with the Leoville plots [31:39] thing, that sort of that went [31:41] good for a little while, but it [31:43] was people who had the money. [31:45] Yeah. Well, like I said, this [31:47] is this is probably something [31:48] more that needs to be brought [31:49] up at a town hall. [31:51] Is there anything else that [31:52] anybody would like to discuss? [31:54] I would like to ask anybody. [31:56] Has anyone seen an oscillot or [31:58] a wolf yet on the new map? [32:00] Yes, that's a question we [32:01] had earlier. Negative have not. [32:03] I have tamed a wolf. [32:05] So I have a wolf. OK, so you've [32:06] got one. They have a wolf. [32:09] Well, yeah, because because a lot [32:11] of us have not even seen one on [32:12] the server yet. We weren't sure [32:14] if there was something going on [32:15] with spigot or bucket or [32:17] something else. Can I go pet [32:18] your wolf? [32:21] Yes, we'll have it. [32:23] We'll have a petting zoo [32:25] set up later for you. [32:27] Revenge. [32:29] So anyway, did anybody else [32:31] have anything else they wanted to [32:32] discuss? [32:33] I have a suggestion for maybe [32:35] the individual towns. [32:37] If you do sort of move out into [32:39] the corners of the map onto [32:41] those individual towns, that [32:43] maybe they should have little [32:44] town hall meetings between the [32:45] main one and sort [32:48] of grow community spirit [32:50] between those people who are [32:51] around those towns and then [32:53] bring perhaps specific [32:56] issues that are related to [32:57] that particular corner of the [32:59] map to the town hall. [33:01] Just a suggestion. [33:02] Yeah, that's actually a great [33:03] idea. [33:04] Once they start the community [33:05] start building up that would [33:07] be great. [33:08] Maybe we could have games which [33:09] have teams divided by the towns [33:11] like trivia trivia could have [33:12] teams from each town, [33:15] basically like a pub quiz between [33:16] the whole world. [33:18] Yeah, that's a great idea as [33:19] well. Hunger games. [33:22] No, well, [33:24] well, actually, I [33:25] don't know. But yeah, no, [33:27] not right now. [33:28] Yeah, what's the PVP [33:30] portal gets up and running? [33:32] Yeah. [33:34] All right, did anybody else have [33:35] any other suggestions or [33:37] anything they want? [33:37] I guess I got something I want to [33:39] add to that, though, for people [33:40] who are here might realize it. [33:42] But every town, every [33:44] little town has everything [33:46] that the main spawn has. [33:48] The only thing that they don't [33:49] have is the big [33:51] the big building that's [33:52] dedicated to the moderators. [33:54] So I mean, everything has [33:57] an end or an enchantment [33:58] table, community chest, [34:00] place where you can get your [34:01] hunger filled up. [34:02] So if that's your problem, [34:03] don't worry about that. [34:04] Just go go out and [34:06] to all the O'ville and build [34:07] build a shop or whatever. [34:09] Yeah, go explore there. [34:11] Like he said, all of the towns [34:12] have shops. [34:13] They have have everything [34:15] that the main one does [34:16] except for the big hall [34:18] of moderators. [34:18] So yes, please feel free [34:21] to go out. [34:23] All right, did anybody else [34:24] have anything? [34:26] Um, I'd like to [34:28] suggest making a specific [34:31] channel for meetings. [34:34] Yeah, we did that before. [34:35] Yeah, we've done that in the [34:36] past. I just don't have, you [34:38] know, full access to [34:40] the Mumble server. [34:41] So we just need to get with a [34:42] moderator in the future to [34:43] get moved into a separate room [34:45] and all that. [34:47] OK. [34:49] And to be honest, though, [34:50] with how this is right here [34:51] where it says discussion three [34:52] meet and greet, that's not [34:54] a problem. [34:55] Yeah, no, we can keep doing [34:56] this. Yeah. [34:58] As long as, you know, everybody [34:59] who comes in here is mature [35:00] and the ones who aren't, we can [35:02] mute them and they can run [35:03] their mouths all day long and [35:04] nobody will hear in the [35:05] recording. [35:07] So yeah, I mean, as long as [35:08] everybody is well behaved here, [35:10] I don't think we necessarily [35:12] have to do it, but it's [35:14] possible that it could be done [35:15] in the future. [35:15] I agree. I mean, we have four [35:17] channels here, plus [35:18] the specialty ones already. [35:20] So we could just pick any of [35:21] these four and do what we [35:23] need to do. [35:23] It's kind of like available [35:24] rooms in an office building, [35:26] right? You just walk in and [35:28] reserve it and use it. [35:31] Precisely. [35:32] Anybody else? [35:34] One question about resource [35:35] world, which I haven't yet [35:37] used because the map is so huge. [35:38] I feel a little [35:41] more relaxed about mining. [35:43] Scared. It used to be. [35:44] It used to be the situation [35:46] in the old map that we [35:48] kept on mining, mainly [35:50] in the resource world to spare [35:52] the resources of the main world. [35:54] Is that the situation here [35:56] now? [35:57] That's the same idea. [35:58] Yes. Basically, if you're [36:00] mining, please go to the [36:01] resource world. [36:03] Thank you for bringing that up. [36:04] It's in the lobby. [36:06] It's just a single portal off [36:08] of the lobby. It's facing the [36:09] rest of the portals to the [36:10] main towns. [36:13] You go in, go off a little [36:15] ways and start digging. [36:17] The only thing [36:20] that may be of concern is [36:21] it's an amplified biome [36:23] and also [36:25] the setting is hard. [36:28] So no, there's no PVP, [36:30] but the mobs can get you. [36:33] That's the only downside to [36:35] going over there. But honestly, [36:36] I've gone there and harvested [36:39] multiple stacks of hardened clay [36:41] without a problem. [36:42] It's it's not too difficult to [36:44] do what you need to do over [36:45] there. [36:46] Yeah. And there is a nether [36:48] path to the Mesa biome [36:49] in the resource world. [36:50] So if you want, you can go [36:52] that way and harvest over [36:54] there instead of just harvesting [36:56] over on the Mesa biome and the [36:57] main map and shaving off the [36:59] land and making poster [37:01] very upset. [37:02] And having these poor people [37:04] listen to me scream and yell [37:05] and mumble about how somebody [37:06] came in and ripped up my Mesa. [37:08] Yeah. [37:10] Even though technically it's not [37:11] my Mesa. [37:15] OK, did anybody have anything [37:16] else? [37:21] Reaping your flag. [37:22] One thing I wanted to add is [37:23] more of just remember [37:25] we're trying to build a [37:26] community here. [37:26] So keep an eye out for your [37:28] neighbors. If you see something [37:29] going on at one of your neighbors [37:31] builds that doesn't look right, [37:34] you know, try to [37:37] talk to a mod somebody just [37:38] to find out what's going on. [37:40] And, you know, hopefully that [37:41] way we can keep the the griefing [37:43] down. [37:44] Yeah, be respectful of other [37:45] players. [37:46] Try not to do what Night Flyer [37:48] said earlier about building [37:50] right up against their property [37:52] and, you know, over their [37:53] property line even a little [37:54] bit, you know, stuff like [37:56] that. [37:58] Gio just popped in. [38:00] Gio, did you want to introduce [38:01] yourself and maybe discuss [38:02] anything real quick since you [38:03] hopped on? [38:04] Sure. Yeah, I'm Gio. [38:07] I don't know. I just finished [38:08] up a witch farm on the server [38:10] and I don't know, working on a [38:12] house. [38:14] Not really much else. [38:16] Very good. [38:17] Did you have any topics you [38:18] wanted to bring up that may [38:19] not have been brought up [38:20] already? [38:22] Nothing I can think of. [38:23] OK, very good. [38:24] Did anybody else have anything [38:25] they wanted to mention? [38:27] I think D-Bag Jones has been [38:29] left out on the introduction. [38:31] He has. [38:32] Can you unmute yourself? [38:34] And I'm not sure. [38:36] Did you have to change your name [38:37] on actual Minecraft? [38:40] No, he's still D-Bag Jones. [38:42] Oh, OK. [38:45] Then very good. [38:46] D-Bag Jones, did you? [38:47] Can you hear us? [38:47] Do you want to say anything [38:48] real quick? [38:52] Oh, we can't hear you. [38:53] We can't hear you, sir. [38:56] No. [38:58] We'll give him a moment. [38:59] Is that better? [39:02] Sorry, my mixer was turned off. [39:05] Please go ahead, sir. [39:06] I wasn't I wasn't here when you [39:08] guys started. [39:08] I'm sorry, I wasn't at home. [39:10] I just introduced myself. [39:11] My name is Steve and I get [39:14] nothing else to bring up other [39:15] than just to introduce myself, [39:16] I guess. [39:17] Sure. Are you working on any [39:18] projects right now? [39:19] Do you need any items or [39:20] assistance from anybody? [39:23] Not at the moment. [39:24] I mean, just working on getting [39:25] my new house built. [39:28] Most of the way there, working [39:29] on a barn. [39:30] Cool. Very nice. [39:33] All right. Did we have any other [39:34] topics we needed to bring up? [39:35] Oh, a community farm. [39:37] Is there going to be a community [39:39] farm built? [39:40] There are several. [39:41] Yeah, so I was going to say that [39:43] depending upon your area and [39:45] everything, there are some [39:46] community farms built up [39:47] already. [39:48] Just keep an eye on the hub [39:49] towns and maybe ask a player in [39:51] game and they should be able [39:53] to point you to one. [39:54] OK. Yeah. [39:55] And there are four people who [39:57] don't know. There are melon [39:59] farms on in some of the hub [40:01] towns as well that are [40:02] piston activated. [40:04] To where you can go in there and [40:05] you get usually about a stack [40:07] and a half of melon to last [40:08] you for a little bit. [40:10] And also get you some seeds so [40:12] you can start your own little [40:13] private farm. [40:16] All righty, guys, do we have [40:17] anything else? [40:18] Nope. [40:20] Nothing I can do. [40:21] All right. Then I think I'm [40:23] going to close up our shortest [40:25] meeting ever. [40:26] All right. We're coming in at [40:28] under 45 minutes. [40:30] So thank you very much for [40:31] coming. [40:32] Keep an eye on the forum. [40:33] We will get this posted up. [40:35] Robo will get this posted later [40:37] this evening. [40:38] And also we will probably [40:40] be announcing, I guess, it [40:42] will be the next couple of [40:43] weeks, Town Hall [40:45] for you guys. And that's [40:46] where we get to Nagvan and [40:48] Asimov and anybody else who [40:50] will listen. [40:51] So thank you for coming. [40:53] Appreciate it. [40:54] And if you have any questions [40:55] or anything, feel free to ask. [40:57] Talk to you guys later. [40:59] Thanks for organizing it. [41:00] Post it. No problem. [41:01] Thank you very much. [41:02] Thanks, poster. [41:05] Goodbye.
