11:55:41
At 11:49 on the morning of January 30, 2015, Curley posted “TwitCraft shutdown”: the server would stay up one more week for goodbyes, but “all maps as of right now are backed up” and nothing after would be kept. Six minutes later, at 11:55:41, the world was saved for the last time. Every file in this archive stops there. The player files stop earlier — Minecraft writes one when a player logs out — so each one is a timestamp of the moment its owner last left the server, and the last twenty-four hours of them are the last day anyone has a record of.
Nobody was online at 11:55; the last player had logged out fifty-seven minutes earlier. The server ran on until February 6, so the real final week happened — it just isn't in the files. Times are US Eastern, the forum's clock.

Names link to what each player was carrying; coordinates open the map at the exact spot they were standing when they logged out.
The last player
The last player file the server ever wrote belongs to BlockBuster1235, at 10:58:55 — 57 min before the end. BlockBuster1235 had 31 h on the server and logged out standing in the survival world at 4802, 68, -2097. Nobody came after. The next event in the record is the save at 11:55:41, and then nothing.
The final week
Sixty-five different people logged in during the last seven days — 25 of them veterans with a hundred hours or more, 14 of them so new they had under five. Between them they had 10,188 hours on the server; vantes alone accounts for 1,867 of them.
Leaving, month by month
Each player file records one last logout. Counted by month, that is the mirror image of the arrivals chart on the history page: the month in which each of the final map's 3,028 players was seen for the last time. The summer of 2014 is where most of them left — and 180 were still logging in during the server's last month.
Where the final week's players were standing
How this was made
Timestamps are the modification times of the 3,028 lobby/players/*.dat files in the final backup (the server wrote a player's file at logout and on the periodic world save, so a file's time is the last moment its owner was on). Positions, worlds and hours come from the same files and from stats/*.json, via the extraction behind What They Carried. The end time is the modification time of level.dat. The forum archive shows Curley's shutdown post at 11:49 with no time zone; US Eastern is the only zone in which “all maps as of right now are backed up” and the final save line up six minutes apart, so Eastern is what is shown here. If the board actually ran on Pacific time, every clock on this page is three hours later than the real moment — the order of events does not change.
