What people said
Throughout its life the server relayed its in-game chat into the #twitcraft IRC channel. Almost none of that was ever saved — except by two people. SkyerCorp’s IRC client logged the channel every day it was open from June 2013 to March 2014, and he kept the files for twelve years and handed them to the archive in September 2026. NgtFlyer then found a fortnight from the server’s first spring in an old mIRC log — 19 May to 3 June 2012, six weeks after it opened, and the only chat from 2012 known to survive. This whole section exists because of them. Together they hold four hundred and fifteen thousand lines of what players actually said to each other — trades, arguments, help requests, in-jokes, the chatter of the Halloween month, the TNT weeks, and the day the old map closed and the new one opened on 6 January 2014. They also record every join, quit, death and kick the bridge announced, which makes them the only minute-by-minute record of who was online when.
Times are the logger's local clock. The relay ran for the server's whole life; these are simply the days SkyerCorp's and NgtFlyer's clients captured. NgtFlyer's fortnight is 19 May – 3 June 2012 (the 2012 bridge relayed chat and roll calls but not joins and quits, so that window has no hours or login counts). SkyerCorp's logs of the game relay run from 19 June 2013 to 26 March 2014, and his IRC logs trickle on until autumn 2014. December 2013 is nearly empty (the logger, the bridge or the server was down). Nothing is edited or left out: this was public chat on a public server, the same words anyone standing at spawn saw scroll past.

Counted from join/quit announcements within a day, so it is an approximation.
Most hours on the server
41,107 player-hours in all, from 75,478 sittings by 1,447 players — the equivalent of one person playing for 4.7 years without sleeping.
Longest single sittings
Hours from a login to the next quit or kick. Anything over 14 hours is assumed to be a missed quit and thrown away, so the true totals are a little higher.

Across the reset
The old map closed on 5 January 2014. Who was on either side of it, from the same logs. December 2013 is a hole in the logs, so “the two months before” is mostly November.
Who talked to whom
A crude but honest map of the community: every time one player typed another’s name in chat counts as a thread between them. Big circles talked a lot; thick lines talked to each other a lot. Drag the picture around, hover for names, click a name to open that player. Pairs that only ever talked in private messages, or in Mumble, are invisible here.
The closest pairs
Dark circles were here before the January 2014 reset; pale ones arrived with the new map. Lines are drawn where two players said each other's names at least 12 times between them. 248 such pairs among these 70.
What they talked about
Counting lines that mention a subject gives the server’s preoccupations a shape. The horse craze of summer 2013 is plain, and so is the way it came straight back after the reset. Click a subject to search for it.

Roll calls
/list command, as the bridge relayed itTwenty-five times someone ran /list and the bridge echoed the answer into IRC — a literal roll call of who was standing on the server at that moment, and the only place the server’s player cap (300) is written down. Click a name to open that player, or the time to read the day.
The channel itself
Not everyone in #twitcraft was in the game. 22,295 lines were typed straight into the IRC channel by 416 different nicks, 298 of whom never appear in the game chat at all — staff keeping an eye on things from work, players waiting for a whitelist, and the regulars who just liked the room. It is a more candid record than the forum: people talking about the server rather than on it. Its busiest month was February 2014, and the channel kept going for months after the bridge stopped.
